Warranty Footnotes

1. "As long as the original purchaser owns the faucet." If the owner moves and takes the faucet to the new house, the warranty still applies.
2. The warranty is missing quaifying language required by the U.S. Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. §2301). However, the missing language does not diminish the rights of the faucet buyer, and in may actually strengthen those rights.

This Company In Brief

Corrego and Water Ridge are brand names used by Globe Union to identify economy lines of sink faucets formerly sold mostly through Costco and Sam's Club discount stores. We consider them to be lower end Danze faucets.

Economies in manufacturing make the lower cost of these lines of faucets possible. Nonetheless, the basic parts of the faucets are all brass, the cartridges are the Globe Union proprietary cartridge which is a very decent cartridge,

The faucets are supported by a lifetime warranty to the original buyer.

Corrego and Water Ridge brand names of the huge Globe Union Industrial Corp., Ltd., a Chinese faucet manufacturer that sells mid-priced

These are economy lines of faucets. Water Ridge was an in-store brand of Costco and Corrego a provate brand sold by Sam's Club. Both were also sold through online retailers such as Walmart Amazon, and Overstock.

Costco and Sam's Club, however, have ceased selling the brands. Water Ridge faucets are no longer in stores or available through the Costco website and Corrego faucets have disappeared from Sam's Club stores. Some online retailers still show the faucets for sale, but most are listed as out of stock.

Whether Globe Union will continue the brands now that Costco and Sam's Club are no longer its prime customers for the brands is unknown at this time.

Neither Corrego nor Water Ridge has a dedicated website in the U.S., but Water Ridge does have a Canadian site at water-ridge.ca/. The site, however, is moribund. Only a few products are still listed on the site, and most of these are labeled "Inactive."

The Corrego and Water Ridge warranties standard North American limited lifetime warranties modeled on the Danze warranty. They guarantee parts of a faucet "to the original consumer purchaser to be free from defects in material and workmanship, for as long as the consumerpurchaser owns it."

Warranty service and parts are still available from Globe Union's U.S.-based customer support center at 1-888-328-2383 or by email to support@globeunion.com. If by telephone, expect long wait times — up to 25 minutes. In Canada, support is available at 866 789 2273.

The standard finish on both faucet lines is polished chrome. Some faucets were also available in brushed nickel and the occasional faucet in oil-rubbed bronze.

The quality of the faucet was good. The cartridge was a Globe Union proprietary ceramic disc cartridge which is considered of good quality. There was a lot of plastic and zinc in both faucet lines but the essential components — body and spout — were all low-lead brass.
